Snapchat Video Downloader

Paste a link to a public Spotlight, Story or Highlight from Snapchat and save the file straight from its CDN - no sign-in, nothing stored. Trim clips, batch a whole list into a ZIP, and keep a history that never leaves your browser.

By downloading, you confirm that you own this content or have the necessary rights or permission to download and use it, and that your use of the downloaded content will comply with applicable laws and platform terms.

Works with snapchat.com and t.snapchat.com links · Spotlight, public Stories and Highlights

Original quality
Every snap comes back as the one file Snapchat publishes for it, at the size it was posted. There is no second, higher version to ask for, so there is no quality menu.
Trim before you save
Drag an in and out point on the timeline and export just that span as an MP4. No editor, no re-upload.
Batch to ZIP
Paste a list of links, get one archive. Useful for threads, galleries and anything you are backing up in bulk.
Straight from the CDN
The exact file Snapchat serves, with no re-encode unless you asked for a trim. Story and Highlight snaps arrive clean. Spotlight videos carry the Snapchat logo and the creator’s username, because that is how Snapchat publishes them - nothing is added here, and nothing is stripped out.

Questions

01Do the downloads have a watermark?

Story and Highlight snaps do not - they come back as the files that were posted. Spotlight videos do: Snapchat publishes them with its logo and the creator’s username already in the picture, and that is the only version there is. Nothing is added here, and no watermark is removed.

02Can I download a private Story or a snap sent to me?

No. Private Stories, friends-only Stories and snaps sent in chat are never published openly, and this tool reads nothing that Snapchat does not publish on the open web. Only public Spotlight videos, public Stories and Highlights on public profiles work.

03Do you store my downloads or my history?

No. Files stream through the server and are never written to disk, and your recent-links list lives in your own browser’s local storage. Clearing it deletes it - there is no copy anywhere else.

04How long can a trimmed clip be?

Up to five minutes per export. "Exact cut" re-encodes for a frame-accurate result; "fast cut" copies the stream instantly and snaps to the nearest keyframe.

05Why does a download sometimes fail when the preview works?

Some media is licensed by region and that is enforced at the CDN, so a file your own browser can fetch may be refused to this server. When that happens you get a direct link to the original file instead of a silent failure.

06Is it OK to download other people’s posts?

Only if you own the content, created it, or have permission or another legal right to download it. Copyright stays with whoever made the work - downloading it transfers nothing to you, and what is permitted differs from country to country and under each platform’s own terms. Judging that is your responsibility; the Terms of Service set out what you agree to.
